RTÉ's AdamMaguire has scooped the 'Audio Story of the Year' award at this year's UCD Smurfit School Business Journalist Awards.

Mr Maguire was recognised for his audio series on inflation, which was broadcast on RTÉ Radio One's 'Today With Claire Byrne' programme.

To help make sense of what was going on, he took a closer look at a selection of everyday grocery items from toilet paper - to tomatoes. Other winners at today's ceremony in Dublin included Peter O'Dwyer and Lorcan Allen of the Business Post, who won Business News Story of the Year for their submission,"Government prepares to concede on corporate tax rate of 15%".

Niall Sargent of Noteworthy, Rory Winters, Luke Butterly and Tommy Greene of The Detail, and Ella McSweeney of The Guardian, Noteworthy / Journal Media won the Business Analyst of the Year award.
