The parent company of Applebee’s and IHOP is adding Mexican to its menu of holdings.
Founded near the Texas Christian University campus in 2001, Fuzzy’s is a highly franchised fast-casual chain with 138 restaurants in 18 states and long-term development agreements that could nearly double its locations. Atlanta-based private equity firm NRD Holding Co.Fuzzy’s systemwide sales are expected to top $230 million this year, according to Dine Brands. Applebee’s and IHOP reported systemwide sales last year of nearly $7.3 billion.
“Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is a compelling business with a loyal customer base and a distinct identity,” said Dine Brands CEO John Peyton
well the food quality is a match
I always thought Fuzzys was a bad name for a Taco Shop. Makes me think of mold on tacos. Their white queso is good. The price of their tacos is high. Tacos from a Torta place or gas station taco vendor is better and cheaper.
The first and most noticeable thing to go downhill is always the chips. Big restaurant groups gotta save a few pennies and buy cheap ass chips (at bulk prices) that have no flavor or sad texture. Hope Fuzzy's doesn't go this way, but so many have....not holding my breath.
Fuzzys is awful.Gave it 3 chances.
Boooooo
Ah, so the food will be even worse now.
