Sky News host Peta Credlin says one of the many “bad habits” of government is “this idea that spending is quote an investment”, so it doesn’t have to be declared in the budget.

One of the ‘bad habits’ of govt is ‘this idea that spending is quote an investment’: Credlin

“They call it ‘off budget’ spending to try and obscure the reality of what it costs you, the taxpayer,” Ms Credlin said. Ms Credlin’s remarks come after the Financial Review reported on Tuesday morning that on a standard valuation, the NBN is currently worth about $24.5 billion, which means the federal government is unlikely to recoup any of its investment.

“Honestly, billions and billions and billions of your money to deliver high-speed broadband that the commercial sector was already doing faster and cheaper than government,” she said.

Credlin is a Cretin, a political hack way beyond her used by date.
