Merry Xmas Wall Street Journal

Folks can debate the merits/demerits of multiple Fed rate increases in a short time period. Especially that half point raise. Folks can point to trade issues. I think the weight of 2 yrs of extreme negativity to everything POTUS and the midterms, broke the back. All so stupid.

After Trump won the election the stock market soared and the downturn seems to coincide with the Dems heading back to power in the House with promises to raise the corporate tax rate and bring progress to a halt with endless investigations.

Turn it off the black swan super storm pre season gov shutdown and wall st double wam in time FT fttechnews

People haven’t figured this out yet? You would think that it was obvious BEFORE people supported and voted for him. Question is, who knew it, and when? What were their motives? Got to admit he was an easy target.

Japan Stocks Drop 5%, Land in Bear TerritoryThe selloff came against a backdrop of concerns about the U.S. government shutdown, the Fed’s outlook and a possible global economic slowdown. This makes the BoJ policy impotent as the interest rates becomes blunt to pull back the markets. Further rate cuts can push the Japanese economy to a point of uncertainty with mounting debts at near zero levels Yeah but they’ve got those CLO’s to worry about (made in America of course, where such financial products are even possible)
