Businesses and community colleges are failing to fill widening labor gaps with qualified applicants — and each group blames the other.exhaustive study and survey on the relationship between community colleges, employers and graduates

Nobody is happy with the arrangement at a time when many industries are having a hard time hiring and retaining workers — and, even if there is a recession. Just 11% of community college leaders said their local employers’ were willing to set hiring targets and only 10% said employers would offer job guarantees to students who completed a program.
