The ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has had to turn a deaf ear to loud chants calling for him to step aside during his delivery the political report to thousands of delegates at the 55th National Conference at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.

There was tension inside the Expo centre as the chanting continued leading to ANC National Chairperson, Gwede Mantashe, to intervene and beg the rowdy delegates to allow Ramaphosa, who silently stood by, to finish delivering the political report.Mantashe had himself been drowned out by delegates who refused him an opportunity to speak.

For a moment, there seemed to be calm after Mantashe’s intervention, but the KwaZulu-Natal delegates were back disruptively singing at the top of their voice after Ramaphosa had sought to pay tribute to former SA Communist Party leader, Chris Hani, whose killer, Janusz Waluś was recently released from prison on parole much to the anger of many.

“We cannot observe this day without paying tribute to the memory of the former Chief of Staff of MK Cde Chris Hani, and express our deep sadness and disappointment that his killer has been released on parole. Chris Hani was a great son of the soil ad was among the most admired, the most beloved and without a doubt one of the most extraordinary of our revolutionary movement,” says Ramaphosa.

It was at this points some KZN delegates got up on their feet and sang a song with the lyrics, “Who killed Chris Hani?” “Who killed Chris Hani,” some delegates from KwaZulu-Natal break out in song as Cyril Ramaphosa mentions Chris Hani during his address.

Mr Ramaphosa may you please step down please i think as we country we had enough with you please mr Ramaphosa just do it for us step down

The only solution here is to let eskom, saa, transnet and all state owned entities to collapse entirely . But allow the private sector to supply services. Competition will be rife but our living costs will drop. worthwhile employees in state will be sought after. The rest? Well

Let's start with solving the land matter and apologizing to Black South Africans then anything else follows

They will dismantle themselves, give it time. The rotten will always rot away. They single handedly destroyed a country. The OnCe great AnC, eish Greed is something else, haHaa!

Corrupt party madoda

factions must end and Mr President must continue leading us till his second term is over, cause no one can lead this glorious movement now

What a lovely country let's all work and bring this country back again we will only realise that when we lose something good then it's late.

I , h

The very ones calling him to step aside are corrupt to the core, that's how black people are

I like his attitude, it shows how matured he is

Who pays for these '1000's of delegates' whilst this country faces complete annihilation by the hands of the ANC 🤬 this country is in crisis and Ramaphosa & the 1000's of deployed cadres chooses to party and waste money 🤬 resign Ramaphosa, leave & take the ANC with you 🤬

let the whole of ANC step aside cause all of them are corrupt .

Josè Mourinho is a star. Has love for Africans. I agreed on his suggestion.

The point of scrambling for power to get closer to resources for looting

Ramaphosa is a very good leader, gape zanke a utswa chelete ya state

Give tte President a chance instead of behaving badly

VoetsekANC

When he steps down who is going to replace him because all of them are the same Let all of them steps down and out I wish we the citizens were there at Nasrec expressing our sorrows 😡

Thugs life

Here’s a chant: Time for the ANC to get voted out.

Shout real loud so he can heed the shout demand

What a leader🔥

Matanyula Big Nose has a case to answer finish and klaar.

Doesn't the March 2021 NEC decision state that a person charged with corruption or a serious offence has to step aside within 30 days? Failure to do, s/he can be suspended. So, 'immediately' in the Feb 2021 resolution appears to hv been interpreted to mean 'within 30 days.'
