--More coming--.
--More coming--How about the “competition tribunal” allow Verizon into Canada
Monopoly!!!!
Corporate greed! This whole thing is a greedy corporation!
Yup less choice that’s great for competition works great for phone rates🙈🐵🙊🙉 no surprise they approve it their part of the industry
Explain this Rogers.. UPCOMING CHANGE TO YOUR IGNITE BUNDLE On the date of your first bill after February 12, 2023, the monthly service fee for your IgniteTM Bundle as shown on this bill will increase by $6 plus taxes
How is this going to help drive down the exorbitant cost of services? This country is going down the drain and on the path to becoming a third world country where corruption galore. Really curious how much kickbacks did the tribunal receive from these wolves to get their way?
Cool
Lol. The CRTC is a joke. Nothing they do benefits the consumer.
More proof that our system is a complete joke. I wonder how much the payoff was for the members of the tribunal in order to reach this verdict. Membership on Rogers Board of Directors? Stayed tuned for family members to be hired into high paid positions at Rogers. Totally Corrupt
It happens when the 'competition tribunal' colludes with the monopolies. Meanwhile, Canada's wireless costs are among the highest in the world. Explain that 'competition tribunal.'
No one in their right mind would get any products or services from either of them
Someone got paid off.
This is a prime example of corporations having the ability to create monopolies and exercise influence over government thus trampling the Constitution and Canadian Charter. Why have a watchdog if you disregard their concerns? It means the watchdog is a sham.
I blame PierrePoilievre because your not going to blame the people running this country.................are you?
How could a “competition bureau” come to this conclusion? Is this a joke?
This is just so obviously bad.
Sounds like they don't understand what 'competition' means.
CRTC is a sham , I feel like they got shares in the big three..
How is this serving competition? Who is on this Tribunal? They should be investigated for taking bribes from Rogers
Somebody with a Liberal Party membership got very rich.
who does this tribunal consist of? who are they invested in? i’m sure that will answer how this got through
Oh brother not interested in their money grabbing unrealistic fees
Oh no. Canadians can now officially kiss their a** good bye!
Remember when Justin Trudeau said he would get Cell phone bills lowered by 25% promised in the 2019 election? Well he lied again cuz he broke that promise.
So 3 people decided for the entire country that this is the correct decision? 🤔
this better not if so i will be moving to telus
Other than with Freedom Mobile, where are they competing against each other?
'Rogers and Shaw argued the deal would enhance competition and be better for consumers.' In other words, we're getting screwed.
We need more competition. Bell and Rogers are complete garbage.
I love my country but I’m getting so sick of the a$$holes that are running it. Canadians need more competition in telecommunications, not less. Contact your MPs and tell them to stop this merger.
Yay... Less choice. SMH🤦♂️
Great stuff eh? Screwing more of us, endlessly.
FFS less competition in Canada. How soon will cell rates go up.
Welcome to the 🍌 republic of 🇨🇦 .. protecting consumers was never priority for CT.
What a fucking joke of a tribunal…utterly pathetic
This company will dubbed Shagers. Then Shagers will by Telus. ShagersTel will be born. Then Bell will buy ShagersTel in an effort to save itself. Skynet will become sentient by 2030 and it will be Canada's fault. The South Park guys were right. Blame Canada.
Guess the Competition Tribunal doesn't know what 'Competition' means. They must of got bags and BAGS of money dropped off at their front door.
Ugh, two fighting over power is not called competition 🙄
Yet the government wants us to believe they fought for Canadians and lowered their cell phone bills.
This is the worst decision ever. Furthering a duopoly at the cost of the consumer is not what competition Tribunals should do. Putting more control in the hands or Rogers and Bell clearly shows the Tribunal cares a f*$*& about the consumers. Canada should be ashamed.
Wow buy others out to create less competition which means more control of a market and dictate prices. So glad the competition tribunal loves businesses more then customers
Let American companies come in for some actual competion instead of this mediocrity.
Hope Trudeau and the Liberals overrule this and block the merger. I will be cancelling my Rogers services immediately over this. Bell is also terrible in many ways but I’ll look into every alternative even if I have to pay a lot more.
Oh great. Less competition.
Useless tribunal
Stupid thing.. People are paying 20$ for unlimited data in many countries.. And in Canada nothing unlimited and we pay almost 100 for limited data.. Auh now Rogers buying Shaw.. Seriously
With complicity between government and Telecoms there was never a doubt in this outcome. Massive layoffs for the sake of synergies at Shaw and Rogers as well as deplorable service on the way for Canadians.
Well shit.
Corrupt banana republic
For the love of fuck. Something has to stop this.
So how does that effect existing Shaw customers?
This if friggin crazy - how can this help the consumer ?
Someone on the competition bureau has ties to either Rogers or Shaw, or took some sort of bribe because there’s no way reducing competition like this is good for Canadians.
You’re so kind 😌
What the fuxk. CRTCeng you're a joke.
The monopoly continues in Canada to allow consumers to be ripped off. Canadians love taking it
So the competition tribunal doesn’t actually do anything is what I take from this story ? Canada fucking sucks
Nothing says fair competition like furthering the oligopoly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yum monopolies.
again?
The CRTCeng is such a garbage organization
