The Tasting Tours grows with St. Augustine's culinary scene

Almost a dozen years ago, Andrea Jones and JoAnna Engel thought tourists might enjoy unique food, wine, conversation and the charms of St. Augustine as much as they did.

To accommodate that growth, The Tastings Tours expanded its space at the end of the year to include more than just an office. They moved to the fifth floor of Cathedral Place with several small gathering rooms — called The Reserve at Cathedral — where they can host intimate parties, Nights of Lights viewing experiences,"micro" weddings or other meetings. The tours continue to grow in popularity for several reasons, Engel and Jones say.

Jones and Engel said they visit restaurants as customers before approaching them about becoming part of a tour. And they consistently come away feeling impressed by what the city has to offer.
