KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has rubbished claims that the Inspector-General of Police is involved in the Amundi investment scheme.

In a statement on Saturday , police secretary Deputy Comm Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin said they detected a WhatsApp chat group recently promoting the investment scheme.

"In that group, we found a WhatsApp profile posing as Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani. The individual used a phone number - 010-230 1160 - to pose as the Inspector General of Police to make it seem like he was also making investments," she said."A police report has been lodged to facilitate the investigation on the irresponsible individual who was posing as Acryl Sani. We are also conducting an investigation into the investment scheme at the same time," she said.

DCP Noorsiah then added that the public should be cautious and not fall easily for fraudulent schemes such as this.
