Urias will report directly to the governor and lead the state’s tourism agency, which oversees Arizona’s largest industry by revenue at over $146 billion. The moves come as multiple other high-level nonprofit leaders in the Phoenix metro have recently announced plans to leave their jobs in order to work under Hobbs. In late December, Arizona nonprofits Valle del Sol Inc., the Arizona Food Bank Network and Wildfire said theyafter Hobbs tapped their executives to lead state agencies that are mostly focused on social services.
