THUNDER BAY — City police have arrested a 30-year-old man, charging him with a series of break-ins to local businesses that resulted in a total of $10,000 worth of merchandise stolen, along with several thousand dollars in damages.

Police responded to a break-in at an outdoor equipment store on the 200 block of Pearl Street on Jan. 4, after a male suspect stole merchandise and fled. The investigation led police to determine that a nearby restaurant was also broken into on Dec. 30, 2022, and that the same suspect was responsible.
