Canadian cannabis industry struggling amid oversupply challenges: Experts

“Producers have been scaling back, laying people off, closing faculties for really over three years,” said Michael Armstrong, an associate professor of operations research at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont.

“So since then, they’ve been scaling back. But meanwhile, we’ve had lots of smaller companies join the market, so there’s lots of transition going on.”

Well its a no Brainer... Govt, avg price per Gram is around 5$, I currently pay $375 for a half pound of better quality.

Over supply? Then sell cheaper.

That's because it's so over priced

No one wants the garbage overpriced and horrible tasting and full of chemicals

Looking like the potheads can’t smoke enough?

Nobody wants to pay your ridiculous prices!

No, THC is used by a limited number of Canadians. You’re not going to move from a non pot smoker to a user overnight. It’s just not happening

In Wasaga Beach there are more weed stores than hardware, pharmacy, or groceries combined... Economics come into play at some point... Plus, guy from elsewhere may have better & cheaper stuff, so a friend said...

Well when o e can get in from the guy next door for half the price, then ya bussinesses will feel the hit. Also as a smoker I nit only support the guy next door but the small bussiness owner.

lower the prices!

Maybe people don’t need recreational drugs

Weed inflation .. everything got hit ..you and weed.
