AMSTERDAM : Dutch tech industry group FME on Tuesday called for the European Commission to draft a position on whether and how to restrict computer chip technology exports to China, saying"more unified and powerful action" was needed from Europe.
The Netherlands is home to ASML Holding NV, a key maker of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. It had 15 per cent of its sales to China in 2021, or 2 billion euros worth, that could be affected if the Netherlands were to adopt the new U.S. rules.
