He's a lawyer and also skilled in pizza making, CEO and Owner of Dallas-based Zalat Pizza is making moves by opening up a new location in the Lakewood area.

didn't set out to be one of the most successful local pizza chain operators in Texas. The owner of two Dallas restaurants, DaLat and Zalat Pizza, faced both business and personal challenges on the journey, including reaching the United States almost 9,000 miles away, as an 8-year-old refugee following the fall of Saigon in 1975.

Never afraid of a new challenge, after working at MedAssets, Nguyen took a sabbatical and taught himself how to cook. He started concocting multi-course Vietnamese dinners for his family every day. From there, he went on to open his first restaurant, DaLat, which serves late-night Vietnamese dishes in Dallas.
