A mixed-use project comprising new office, housing, retail and hotels has been proposed for some of the remaining vacant land along Interstate 10 in Goodyear.
Conceptual site plans show the new project could include a 15-acre office campus to support the hospital and other office uses on the west side of the property. The campus will include two 54,000-square-foot medical office buildings and a three-story office building totaling 140,000 square feet. Jim Grogan, a project manager for the Goodyear Celebration Plaza, said the owners of the project are focused on the patients, families and caregivers of Cancer Treatment Centers of America and City of Hope hospital.
The developer is looking to remove the site from two existing planned area developments known as Goodyear Palm Plaza and the Airport Gateway, which both allow for a mix of commercial uses. RVI Planning + Landscape Architecture is listed as the land planning firm, the zoning attorney is Beus, Gilbert, McGroder PLLC and the civil engineer is Goodwin and Marshall Inc., according to project documents.
