Santa Clara County leads the Bay Area in recent hotel debuts and projects under construction.

While hotel development across California slowed last year after a record-breaking 2021, Santa Clara County bucked the trend, leading the state with 1,155 new hotel rooms across seven hotels in 2022.underscore the booming hotel pipeline in the South Bay

San Francisco, San Mateo and Alameda counties saw three new hotels apiece, while Napa and Sonoma counties had one new hotel each. Alameda County has four projects under construction totaling 440 rooms. San Mateo and Sonoma counties have two apiece .
