The final Saturday at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale Auction each year is known for some of the most outstanding cars and some of the highest bids.
After that, three cars sold for $770,000, with one of them being a 1966 Shelby Group II Mustang that was built for legendary racer Ken Miles, who died in an accident before getting a chance to drive it. Included in the sales Saturday were three more charity vehicles — a 2024 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1, VIN 001; the VIN 001 of the new 2024 Ford Mustang GT; and a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that was owned by the late Gen. Colin Powell.
