Gov. Ron DeSantis has nominated the former head of economic development in Nassau County to serve as the state's secretary of commerce and CEO of Enterprise Florida.
Growing the economy is something she’ll continue to focus on with her new position, DiBellas told the Business Journal on Monday. A main focus for 2023, she says, is to capitalize on the expansion and growth the state is seeing. While population continues to grow as more and more people move to Florida every day, job opportunities are also becoming abundant.
Despite the recession that is expected this year, DiBella says Florida will “stand head and shoulders above a lot of it” as it continues to attract new businesses and companies to the area.
