EFF Deputy President Floyd Shivambu at the EFF Limpopo Plenum
The party has announced it will hold a national shutdown on the 20th of March to protest the continuing load shedding and call for President Cyril Ramaphosa to step down.Shivambu has rallied the EFF members to roll up their sleeves and mobilise millions of citizens to join the national shutdown. He says the shutdown is the only platform for people to express their frustration against what he calls a “failing government”.
“It is a do or die, fighters. If we do not shut down this country and this province, they will say we are a mickey mouse organisation even if their shutdown did not have any impact, businesses must not operate, schools must not operate and all shopping malls must be closed,” says Shivambu.

History has already judged the EFF harshly as Flip Floppers and racists.
The EFF just doesn't have the numbers at present. They are not the majority. The looters had big numbers including support from the police who supported them by miraculously disappearing during the looting. If the looters and their masters join the EFF then it's another story.
