Ex-NY Gov. David Paterson slams asylum, calls it a budding 'industry'

The Democrat, in an interview on WABC 770’ “Cats Roundtable’s,” brought upwhere a group of migrants camped out last week when they were told to relocate to a new processing center at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook.

“Not two blocks away from that hotel there were other people out on the street who are homeless,” he said. “They have problems too. And they are citizens of the United States. They live here,” he said.Paterson claimed that the migrants who protested the move outside the Watson Hotel were “egged on by the media,” and that individuals “and even members of the media, were … stirring it up just to get a lot of attention.

Some recently arrived migrants, who were asked to move to a Brooklyn site arranged by the city, camped outside of the Watson Hotel on the west side of Manhattan in protest.Paterson claimed he is “100%” in favor of migrants who seek asylum if they meet the requirements.Paterson was governor of New York between March 2008 and December 2010, succeeding Elliot Spitzer, who resigned in disgrace.

I always like Gov Paterson. He was reasonable and practicable

Has the former Governor lost his mind or is he loosing his mind? I don’t quite see how he gets there. That is one of those stammers that will have me scratching my head for the rest of the day. Here I thought David was a smart guy! Apparently I was wrong!
