Now, you can bring a piece of Inness’s award-winning good taste home with you: Post Company has teamed up with e-commerce site Sixpenny to produce a. “As a studio, we were working on Inness for many years, focused on every detail of architecture, construction, and furniture. The project represented a bridging of historic Hudson Valley vernacular with a more contemporary expression, situated in an incredibly scenic environment,” Salem says.

It’s composed of two items: the first is the Monk Sofa, a couch with clean lines covered in earth-toned linen. The second, the rounded Cadence chair, comes in a palette of several neutrals, including a slate gray. The gentle upholstery adds softness to their forms, as does the cloud-like feather down or vegan poly that fills them. “The pieces are graciously upholstered, deeper than typical seating, and are over-draped to provide weight and grounding.

The sofa and chair will work in homes far beyond Hudson: When designing the pieces, Salem looked to a variety of global influences, such as the minimalist work of Donald Judd, who resided in the remote, West Texas plains town of Marfa, as well restrained Belgian interiors and structures. Their function, and aesthetic versatility, is part of their beauty. “It’s an ideal combination in the context of Inness, and equally nurturing in anyone’s home,” Natale says.
