A restaurant and rooftop bar on VyStar Tower's seventh floor, Estrella Cocina, has received a $250,000 permit for renovations with owners hoping to reopen soon.
The work consists of a selective demolition and replacement of interior finishes and the addition of an awning canopy to the exterior seating area of the seventh floor, records show. The restaurant currently has 3,500 square feet of indoor dining space and 4,500 square feet of space available for outdoor seating or rental.is owned and operated by Jonathan Cobbs and Dwayne Beliakoff, founders of The Bread & Board, which has a location on the first floor of the tower.
The restaurant has been closed since the beginning of the year while owners are targeting February to reopen, according to a social media post. Dana B. Kenyon Co. is the contractor.
