Local tech companies will not escape the sales cycle slowdown being experienced by their US peers, analysts say.

One stock dividing analysts is electronic design software company Altium.

“For a lot of people, changing focus to just that $US500 million number was dissatisfying. But, for longer-term holders, getting to $US500 million is enough,” Mr Mason said.Advertisement “I think we’ll see more of the cost-out initiatives play out in the second half of FY23. The leaner cost base and streamlined go-to-market strategy should drive higher profitability.”

“It certainly feels like the slowdown might be a little more pronounced in the US versus Australia. Regionally, our economy is a beneficiary of strong commodity prices, so perhaps that is helping and rates have risen more aggressively in the US than Australia.”
