Building services group Johns Lyng advanced 13.2 per cent to $6.34; it upgraded its financial 2023 revenue and EBITDA guidance by 11.2 per cent and 5.5 per cent respectively, to $1.146 billion and $111.1 million. The earnings upgrade is driven by a record volume of business as usual and catastrophe work.

Shares in New Century surged 42.2 per cent to $1.09 after an unsolicited takeover bid from Sibanye Stillwater. Battery supply chain business Magnis Energy has signed a binding offtake agreement to supply up to 175,000 tonnes per annum of anode active materials from February 2025 with a maximum of 35,000 tonnes per annum for a minimum 3 years at a fixed price.
