“It was just something that we said that we would double down on and really focus [on],” Giamo said. “And then I look at some of the geographies, expanding with our First Horizon partners, being able to bring a larger balance sheet and certain product capabilities to those markets also play in that.”

TD just opened a location in Jacksonville, Florida, that has a community bank branch format, which includes additional space for financial education and community meetings. It also has its innovation lab branch concept, which itat 3735 Walnut St. on the outskirts of the University of Pennsylvania campus in University City.

TD also offers financial literacy seminars and webinars to show businesses ways to access capital and implement technology investments that make it easier to apply for loans and allows the bank to process and get the money out faster.
