If you want an ‘experts’ opinion, talk to the farmers & ranchers. They will tell you that the price we get selling our cattle doesn’t compete with the cost of raising them. Inputs far exceed outputs. The cost of seed, fertilizer, equipment, fuel etc. A drought is not the problem

That’s just bullshit. We import beef from other jurisdictions around the world. We also sell to the countries that supply us. There is no shortage in the world, it’s greed and lack of distribution that creates waste.
