A COMPANY in Glasgow has extended the trial of a four-day work week.
"I started to read a bit about the four-day week, Covid wasn’t the time to do it, but when we came out of that and we were returning to the office, I just started to think ‘these people got us through a really really difficult time, we can trust them, so why don’t we try to do something that gives people a bit of time back and puts the responsibility on them to make sure they get the work done but gives them a reward’.
"It’s made me look at things like my fitness and my personal life in general, so it’s been brilliant."Brian also believes the skills he has gained working a four-day week will help him throughout his career. However, despite the positive changes, there were some teething issues, with Mark saying it's been"really hard" to get used to.
He said:"If I don’t make it permanent then in about six months' time they’ll probably be working somewhere else and I wouldn’t blame them.
