The Houston chapter of the Better Business Bureau has revoked its accreditation for CenterPoint Energy, saying the utility failed to address issues that have led to a pattern of consumer complaints.removed CenterPoint as an accredited member business on Feb. 27, after giving the utility nearly a year to address issues raised by the nonprofit membership association.
“There's nothing unresolved,” Parsons said. “That's all great, but it's that the pattern hasn't stopped – it's gotten worse.” “CenterPoint Energy has had a positive and productive relationship with the BBB for nearly 60 years,” the statement said, “and our company is in good standing with the BBB in several other locations where we do business.”
The move by the BBB should act as a wake-up call to CenterPoint and how it handles customer complaints, according to Venky Shankar, marketing professor and director of research for the Center for Retailing Studies at Texas A&M University.
This happened to me. They are lawless and a danger to Houston.
