Letter: 'By hosting such a significant event we were able to work with clients from all over the world, see a much different demographic within our community, and get an economic boost.'

I own BW Productions, which is a small business located in downtown Salt Lake City. We are a photo and video production company. I have a staff of 15 creatives. We have been around since 2013.

The All-Star weekend has put BW Productions in a great place business-wise. The weekend brought as much business as a month would traditionally bring. This is a really big deal! Not to mention that work we got to do over the weekend was with people we would not have normally interacted with, if it were not for the All-Star events. We were able to staff 50 people and work on 16 video shoots all in four days.

By hosting such a significant event we were able to work with clients from all over the world, see a much different demographic within our community, and get an economic boost. Owning a small business is a delicate dance some days. Events like the All-Star weekend make it a little easier. I want to say thank you to Gov. Spencer Cox and Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall for hosting All-Star weekend.

I have no idea what the politics were to get this event, and I can only start to imagine the planning that went into it. I just want you to know at least one small business is very grateful that it happened.
