Altrincham and Sale West MP Sir Graham Brady also spoke to the fake firm.

Two former Tory ministers have been caught in a sting telling a non-existent company their daily rate for consultancy is £10,000 a day. MPs Matt Hancock and Kwasi Kwarteng were caught on video requesting six-figure sums for what they would expect to be paid to advise a fake firm in South Korea.

Told by someone pretending to be an employee of the company they were considering offering between £8,000 and £12,000 per day, with the intention for him to attend six board meetings a year, Mr Kwarteng said: “OK yes, we’re not a million miles off. We can work with the numbers.” The group sold the “company” as one with aims to expand into the UK and Europe, asking any would-be advisers to attend pretend board meetings held in a mix of locations, including allegedly in South Korea. Led By Donkeys said 16 of the MPs approached were Tory, two Labour, one a Liberal Democrat and the other an independent.

Mr Hammond is seen in the video published on Saturday, but no details of what was said has been aired as yet. Led By Donkeys said Sir Gavin had turned down the opportunity to take discussions any further.

disgusting

MattHancock is a criminal

😡

But but but the Tories are good for the country aren’t they. Bunch of cun2s

Another example of this corrupt Tory government

Wonder how much the likes of Hancock were charging during covid when he was responsible for handing out multimillion pound taxpayer funded contracts!

Hancock, Kwarteng and Gove: 'What 42-karat plonkers you really are!' Made and continue to make a true mockery of the nation Nation's had enough

Curious headline when local MP, Graham Brady, was one of the 4.

Aside from neither of them or Brady doing basic due diligence about the SK 'company', Kwarteng also shows us he can't even do basic maths... Nothing but sheer greed on legs. Our politics should be better than this!!

Personally I take this as a massive positive. They're obviously absolutely certain they'll be out of office in 18 months tops and are desperately trying to make some cash before they're catapulted back into obscurity. Fuckity bye lads, don't let the door hit your arse as you go

Just how many get away with it. I hate politicians and this country.

Imagine how much they would’ve asked for in a real company?!
