A 33-year-old man was hit and killed while stopping for another crash Thursday night on the North Side, police said.

A 33-year-old man was hit and killed while stopping for another crash near Alamo Quarry Market on Thursday night, police said.

The man was involved in a minor two-vehicle crash in the 300 block of Basse Road just after 10 p.m., according to San Antonio police. He and the other driver stopped in the eastbound traffic lanes and got out of their vehicles. While the two were standing between their 2022 BMW and 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2001 tan Mercury driving east crashed into the back of the Jeep. The man was pinned between the BMW and the Jeep.Police say there is no criminal charge expected in the case. No other injury was reported.
