A manager of a British mail delivery service has been blasted as a 'horrible human being' after promising postal workers a huge pay rise which later turned out to be an April Fool's prank.

The manager behind the poster has since said sorry, the Royal Mail said, with a spokesperson apologising for any upset caused over the"misjudged" prank.

The poster also promised to employ 10,000 new"telegram boys" as well as a"brand new fleet of diesel vans and bicycles to replace electric vans".
