Department of Finance said 34,227 claims for the scheme had been approved as of April 13th to a total value of €74.9m

The enhancements provide for a further extension of the scheme to May 31st.

“I am pleased to note that the European Commission has approved the enhancements to TBESS brought forward in Finance Bill 2023,” said Mr McGrath. Businesses who have already registered should update their reference period details for March and April 2022 in advance of submitting a claim for the extended periods of March and April 2023.

The increased monthly cap of €15,000, subject to an overall monthly cap of €45,000, will also be automatically applied to these claims.
