A new poll also finds that Texas is seen favorably by 59 percent of Americans, and 55 percent think the state is headed in the right direction.

Urban farmers Jeremy Peaches of Fresh Life Organics & Ivy Lawrence-Walls of Ivy Leaf Farms, who also are the founders of Black Farmer Box, opened their first grocery store in Sunnyside in November.Americans outside of Texas see Houston as the best city in the state to start a business, a new poll has found, though in some circles, San Antonio and Austin edge out the Bayou City.

Over the past year, Graham added, the state's national image has improved significantly. This year, Texas is seen favorably by 59 percent of Americans,, and 55 percent think the state is headed in the right direction. Also, 44 percent of respondents to the 2023 survey consider Texas to be more culturally diverse than other states, up from 32 percent in last year's survey.
