Fáilte Ireland has been asked to identify areas likely to be worst impacted by reduced tourism spending and to make recommendations to “mitigate” those impacts.

Catherine Martin is continuing to “raise her concerns” with government colleagues about the possible €1 billion impact on Ireland’s tourism industry due to the number of hotels beds being used to house refugees.
