Tankers have been supplying water to Newtown Hospital while engineers work to fix a leak in the area.It started in the early hours of Thursday due to a leak on Llanfair Road, but supplies have been restored with engineers now working on fixing the fault that caused the problem.Powys Teaching Health Board has said that the water company Hafren Dyfrdwy had reacted rapidly to ensure the hospital still has water supplies – piping water in through tankers parked outside.

"Our teams have been working hard moving water around the network, and everyone’s water has been restored, so we’ll now focus on fixing the pipe. We’re sorry if this repair causes any inconvenience, but we’ll be working to get everything back to normal as quick as we can.”
