The 60-year-old from Brick wrote checks to himself for two years.

The former chief financial officer of a financial services technology company in Matawan has been sentenced to two years probation for stealing $833,000 from his employer.said Wednesday.

Lifshitz, of Brick, wrote company checks to himself and wire transferred money to his personal accounts, authorities said. He was fired in September 2022 and the company’s founders reported the thefts to the prosecutor’s office.
