Birmingham will play in the City Section Open Division final at Dodger Stadium against Carson on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Birmingham is expected to pitch Cal-commit Kaden Taque against Carson, which took down two West Valley League teams in El Camino Real and Granada Hills to reach the program’s first Open Division final. Carson has made six previous City final appearances, but has yet to ever win the season’s final game. The Colts last appearance came in 2018 in the Division I final at Dodger Stadium.

“All year long, I told them if you play your game, nobody is going to beat you in the City. We’re still not done,” Carson coach Steven Manqueros said Wednesday after beating Granada Hills at USC.Dodger Stadium’s gates will open for fans at 9 a.m. General admission tickets are $15. Students with identification and seniors are $10. Tickets will be sold at the left field gate. Children four years old or younger are free. All tickets must be purchased at the ballpark with debit or credit card only.
