The Lagos State government has set up a joint working committee to resolve issues surrounding the recent demolition of properties in some markets in the state, especially the Alaba International Market. The announcement of the committee came amid the ongoing demolition of shops at the popular Alaba International Market by the Lagos State government. SaharaReporters earlier reported how leaders of the market located in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos accused Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration of demolishing their buildings in the market.

They accused the state government of planning to take the market from them and hand it over to some Chinese investors who reportedly want to establish a multipurpose market., the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while speaking to the press after a meeting with Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon.

The Lagos Governor appealed to the people to go about their normal business without any fear as the government will always continue to listen to them and give everybody opportunity to do well and run their businesses.
