“It’s part of the conundrum we have,” said Garner, adding it needs to focus on growing Folk Fest and other events to bring people downtown. “The importance of Chinook Blast and other festival events that we need to have in the off-season are even more integral. But Stampede is probably the largest economic driver of money into this community and really showcasing Calgary during July.”
