Following Luby's death, the elegant 6,000-square foot home across from Alamo Heights' exclusive Argyle Club went up for sale in February 2022 with a $2.5 million price tag. A $550,000 price cut followed in early 2023, then a buyer claimed the property in March, property records show.
However, the couple who purchased the house have changed their plans to relocate to San Antonio, according to Lauren Scott, a sales agent for the property. Now, it's back on the market — once again with a $2.5 million asking price. Past sales listings described the sprawling property as a garden home"perfect for entertaining." It was built in the 1970s by San Antonio philanthropists Betty and Lew Moorman. Betty Moorman rescued the Argyle property from demolition and oversaw its transformation into an exclusive dining spot for Alamo City's power brokers.
