Jeromy Farkas is back on the Pacific Crest Trail, aiming to complete a 250\u002Dkilometre section in Oregon forced closed by wildfires last year.

So when the former Calgary city councillor and second-place finisher in the 2021 mayoral contest ran into a roadblock last summer near Oregon’s Mount Jefferson during his fundraising journey across theThe 253-kilometre stretch of Oregon wilderness was closed due to wildfires, and Farkas was forced to find his way around the closed area, biking and hitchhiking his way back to the trail north of the closure.
