Former University of Cape Town deputy council chair Pheladi Gwangwa and five colleagues have been barred from practising as attorneys amid a probe into whether a law firm stole funds from the Road Accident Fund .

The Supreme Court of Appeal ruled this week that all directors of the personal injury law firm Chueu Inc. Attorneys, where Gwangwa worked until early 2021, bear responsibility for the company's accounts.
