New paper calls on the government to prioritise a national chips strategy

Pat Gelsinger, the chief executive of Intel, has endorsed calls for Ireland to double the size of its semiconductor industry by 2030 following the introduction of the €43 billion EU Chips Act.

The Tyndall National Institute in Cork, a leading European research centre focused on the information and communication technology sector, today released a new paper calling on the government to prioritise a national chips strategy for the years ahead.
