They are reportedly still in the running for the fan favorite.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- While there weren’t a lot of new developments to report over the summer on a successor for the former Cedar-Fairmount Dave’s Market, the owners did recently throw a familiar prospect’s name into the mix., the object of months of grassroots support campaigns on social media platforms, as well as postings earlier this year throughout the Heights Medical Building, where about 36,500 square feet of prime store space remains vacant.

The square footage of the store is spread over three levels, with 3,500 square feet on the “mezzanine” that includes two loading docks. On Aug. 8, Cedar-Fairmount SID Board Treasurer Vince Pangle said he may have a tenant for the additional space. Russo said shortly after Dave’s Market vacated last October to move into the former Zagara’s grocery on Lee Road that he agreed withfor a Trader Joe’s or Heinen’s, adding that “our first priority is a full-service, high-end grocery store.”
