A Victorian home building company has entered voluntary administration in a bid to restructure amid dire economic conditions.

Harmac Group joins a burgeoning list within the construction industry that are financially struggling,Four of the group’s subsidiaries - Harmac Homes, Harmac Constructions, Harmac Urban Living and Ridge Homes – will be subjected to the administration.

In a statement to 3AW, the group said it made the “difficult decision to appoint Cor Cordis as voluntary administrators to help restructure the business” and they “understand it’s devastating news for customers”. “Given these economic challenges, we had no choice but to enter voluntary administration to restructure.”
