A cricketer hopes he has entered the record books after completing 50 hours and 15 minutes of continuous batting to raise awareness of mental health.longest individual cricket net session by a maleMr Northcote raised £6,000 for Suffolk Mind as he undertook the challenge. "This challenge has been extremely tiring but the support I've received through volunteer bowlers, donations and sponsorships, has been overwhelming," said the 40-year-old.

He said he was "force fed" as he kept going and it got him "through the dark times and into a nice, happy space". Mr Northcote said he got blisters, suffered dizziness and loss of focus, which made it hard to see the ball, when he was batting in the middle of the night.
