'Now it's happening, and it's forever. Now, there's no looking back.'

In a triumphant win for urbanists and most Ohio City businesses, City Hall made the decision to close Market Avenue to car traffic permanently starting Friday, September 1st.

"I just don’t understand it. I want it. The mayor wants it. The businesses want it. The community wants it. But yet it still hasn't happened." Starting in September, just weeks after Market's shutoff to cars, Small is planning to help host a Sausage and Clam Fest, which will take place, in part, on the avenue. Later this fall, Ohio City will host its firstWhich, of course, Small said wouldn't be possible without allowing walkers the freedom of space to roam.
