He waited three hours for it to be found, before giving up and going home

A man came home from a family holiday to find the parking company he'd left his car with had lost it. Paul Swift got back after a week away and when he went to pick up his Mercedes he found a group of people who had been waiting for their own cars for three hours.

He says when the car could not be found he was told it would be sent to his home the next day. When it didn't arrive Paul called My Parking Limited, who said they had no record of his booking. Paul reported the loss to police, reports The Mirror. "Everyone else has been completely incompetent. I don't think anything has been intentionally done wrong, but not returning the car is an escalation of complete incompetence."

He said: "At first they couldn't find the booking, then they couldn't find the key, then they couldn't find my car. Then [one of the employees] physically went out and found it."
