Sky-high airline prices have angered people desperate to see more flights allowed in, to drive down cost. The Qatar Airways controversy aside, other carriers are helping ease the pain.

As travel-hungry Australians fixate on whether Qatar Airways will get its additional 28 flights into Australia, co-founder and chief executive of the Flight Centre Travel Group, Graham Turner, warns significant downward pressure on flight prices will not happen until the end of next year.
